Build Room is operated by Build Something Co, which is responsible for the information described in this policy.

When you create a Build Room account, we collect your first name, email address, mobile number, authentication information, and the separate email and text choices you make. If you become a member, we also store subscription status and the billing identifiers returned by the payment provider. Build Room does not store full card numbers.

We also process downloads, ratings, private questions and replies, message-delivery events, suppression choices, and technical or security information needed to protect the service.

Your details are used to authenticate or recognize you, provide membership and protected downloads, process billing, show your account history, answer questions you send to Jay, secure the service, and maintain records.

Marketing email and marketing texts are sent only for the channel you separately choose. Necessary account, payment, security, and reply notices may be sent on an appropriate transactional basis where permitted.

We share only what is needed with service providers that run Build Room, including hosting, authentication, protected storage, billing, email, and text-message delivery. They may process information only to provide Build Room services or messages.

Build Room does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Build Room does not publish member lists.

You can change email and text preferences separately in your account, unsubscribe from marketing email, or reply STOP to marketing texts. Reply START to restore texts where supported.

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your information. Use your private Build Room thread, your account support path, or email privacy@buildsomethingco.com to make a request.

Member files are stored privately and released only after a trusted membership check. Private messages between you and Jay are restricted to you and Jay. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Build Room keeps information as long as reasonably needed to provide membership, preserve download access, maintain consent and suppression records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. Retention varies by record type.

Build Room uses necessary recognition and owner-session cookies and browser authentication storage. It does not currently install third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Stripe may use necessary storage on payment surfaces when checkout is enabled.
